Overview: Nautica's 30th anniversary NMX 650 Tide Watch

By Corey Herscu

Oh man do I love my watches.

Big or small, glimmery or simple, high tech or as bare-boned as one could imagine, chances are, I own at least one iteration of each previously descripted piece in my growing collection of wrist candy.

But none are quite like my friend pictured above, the 30th anniversary NMX 650 tide watch from Nautica. And I'll tell you why: it is the perfect combination of striking features and subtle elegance, combined of course with the fact that you're getting a functional, cost-effective diving watch for more than a quarter of the price you would pay for big names like Rolex, Girard-Perregaux, or of course, my one-day-i'll-own-it choice, Blancpain.

Chock full of features like: Chronograph movement, a scratch resistant crystal, and 200-meter water resistance, it's a great watch solely for casual wear. Why? Because, unless it's  subtle, it's very hard to pair rubber with a suit or blazer.

Because of the design, intricacy and effort put into this watch, Nautica flagshipped it as a "30th Anniversary" edition. It appeals to a certain person, and that person - like me - appreciates it for exactly what it is. A timeless timepiece that's both practical and great to look at.

The NMX650 retails for about $325

Hi, I just purchase NMX 650. I been having trouble with stopwatch. Button 'A' is not starting stop watch when pressed. Are you having similar issues?
