Sony unveils hybrid VAIO Flip PC and ‘thinnest’ Windows 8-powered tablet VAIO Tap 11

Sony is adding its own multi-flip, tablet-PC device into the market with the VAIO Flip PC and the supposedly world’s thinnest tablet, VAIO Tap 11.

Both devices make use of a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display with TRILUMINOS technology for mobile and X-Reality for mobile picture engine as well as Sony’s ClearAudio+ technology. The 13-inch version of the Flip PC and the VAIO Tap 11 will both be equipped with an 8-megapixel Exmor R for PC CMOS sensor technology. 

The VAIO Flip is also available in 14- and 15-inch models and are equipped with fourth generation Intel Core processors up to Core i7, SSD for the Flip 13 and Hybrid HD for the Flip 14 and 15, and NVIDIA graphics up to 2GB for the Flip 14 and 15. The VAIO Tap 11 will run on fourth-gen Intel Core processors as well and come with SSDs.

No word on pricing and availability of both devices at the moment.
