Rdio Powers the Official App for The Grammys

Rdio announced today that the GRAMMYs have created an official profile and playlists including all the nominees in each category, available for everyone to listen to and enjoy the music of the GRAMMYs. Visit the GRAMMYs on Rdio here.

Music fans can also listen to this year’s nominees through the official GRAMMYs app available for free download on the iTunes store here. The GRAMMYs app leverages Rdio’s advanced API that provides access to an extensive library of over 20 million songs so that people can listen to music featured at this year’s awards ¾both performances and nominations.

“The GRAMMYs iPhone app illustrates the power of Rdio’s API,” said Anthony Bay, chief executive officer of Rdio. “We are excited to help the music industry’s premier award show experience get even better, and we hope everyone will check out the official playlists on Rdio as well as this cool, new app.“
