Giftagram delivers just in time for Valentine's
By Sonya Davidson
If you haven’t thought about Valentine’s Day yet don’t panic. You still have time! But here’s an app that may help your gifting needs. Giftagram is a Toronto-based site and mobile app that offers an easier way to get your gifting needs done at the touch of your screen.
It has an impressive roster of gift items from designers and retailers that are current and not always your average go-to ideas for those who are hard to buy for.
If you’ve got someone on your list that uses the word “curated” often, then you can’t go wrong here. When I took a glance recently there were items like jewellery designer Jenny Bird’s coveted Hustle & Flow bracelet and the wildly popular Cards Against Humanity game.
Or how about a ping pong game at SPiN or a Malin +Goetz Cannabis Votive Candle? There are some very cool ideas here for men, women and adorable baby gifts. The app is set up in a variety of ways that helps you navigate through the offerings and seamlessly breaks it all down to categories like occasion and budget.
There’s even a Valentine’s Day offer happening now for limited edition ruby red bar by Soma Chocolate for $1.
How it works? Peruse through the items and follow the steps for easy gifting. The app will connect directly with the gift receiver and arrange for delivery directly with them. You only need an email or phone number (linked with access from your contact list). Add a personal text note to the gift. You will be charged once the gift is confirmed online.
The parcel arrives by courier and presented nicely! The service is fast too! I had placed an order on Saturday and it had arrived on Monday. The good news? The prices listed includes the delivery! …and, yes, I may have gifted something for myself.
So, don’t panic and get cool gifts delivered in just a few easy steps.
Giftagram is a free app available on iTunes. The service is currently available for Toronto.
