‘Star Wars Episode VII’ to take place 30 years after ‘Return of the Jedi’
The news about the new Star Wars have started to trickle in. Lucasfilm and Disney have just announced that the latest film will take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi and will feature new young leads “along with some very familiar faces.” Rumours have been going around that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles as Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker. Return of the Jedi came out in 1983 so the older actors’ ages will bring that in alignment with their characters’ ages.
Filming will reportedly start in May at Pinewood Studios in London. The production will be directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams.
