Google might be launching a subscription-based service for paid apps and games

It seems like everyone has some sort of subscription service and it looks like Google might be working on its own version, too. XDA recognized developer Quinny899 discovered a new option available to toggle in Xposed Framework that detailed “Enable Play Pass.” When this was enabled, it didn’t seem to do anything just yet. But when decompiling the code, he found that it linked to a form of subscription with the words “PLAYPASS_SUBSCRIPTION” in the feature’s code.

Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Google Opinion Rewards have been asking users what they think of an “app store [that] has a subscription that offers hundreds of dollars’ worth of paid apps and games for a monthly fee.” We won’t be surprised if this feature surfaces in the future, and if priced well, we’d welcome the addition.
