Netflix cancels ‘Disjointed’ after one season

Netflix is losing one of its few multi-camera comedies as Disjointed just got canceled after one season. The Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television show starred Kathy Bates as a lifelong advocate for the legalization of cannabis who lives out her dream of owning an LA-based cannabis dispensary. She was joined in the cast by Aaron Moten, Elizabeth Alderfer, Tone Bell, Elizabeth Ho, Dougie Baldwin, Chris Redd, Betsy Sodaro, Nicole Sullivan, and Michael Trucco. Lorre, who is known as the executive producer for CBS shows The Big Bang Theory and its spinoff Young Sheldon as well as Mom, worked with Daily Show alumni David Javerbaum as writers and executive producers on the Show. Lorre is currently preparing a single-camera comedy series for Netflix called The Kominsky Method, which will star Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin.
