‘Avengers: Infinity War’ gets earlier release date, coming out on April 27th

Marvel Studios

Fans asked and we got it. Or should we say Tony Stark asked so we got it? Marvel Studios just announced that the worldwide release date for Avengers: Infinity War is going to be a week early with the release pushed to April 27 from the original May 4 release. Marvel pulled a rather good stunt to make the announcement, roping in Robert Downey Jr. a.k.a. Tony Stark to help break the news somehow. You can see the exchange after the cut.

It seems like a good move on Disney and Marvel, though, with tons of big blockbusters coming out around the original release date. Rescheduling the movie release will give it more time in theatres and put it ahead of the release of films like Fox’s Deadpool 2 as well as Disney’s own Solo: A Star Wars Story.
