‘Fallout 76’ won’t have cross-play support

Bethasda’s upcoming release Fallout 76 won’t be playing nice with different systems. The company’s Pete Hines announced on Twitter recently that while the multiplayer game encourages players to work together or compete, this always-online game won’t support cross-play. The possible reason? Sony. Game director Todd Howard previously talked about how Sony was to blame for this lack of support. Hines wouldn’t point to Sony directly but he said “there are a number of reasons” why the game isn’t getting cross-play support. So, for now all of your Fallout 76 gaming will be restricted to one system. The game is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in November.
