Netflix brings three new sci-fi series to its service
Three new sci-fi shows are coming to Netflix soon and two of them are comic- and manga-inspired. The first one is Warrior Nun, a manga-inspired series that follows a woman who wakes up in a morgue and finds herself part of an ancient order of demon hunters. Ghost Wars’ Simon Barry will be serving as showrunner. The comic-inspired series is called October Faction. Based on the IDW comic series, it also involves a couple of monster hunters. Fred and Deloris Allen return to Fred’s hometown to discover its secret, while trying to keep their identities under wraps. Sleepy Hollow’s Damian Kindler will be the show’s executive producer and showrunner. Lastly, there’s The I-Land, which is an ensemble show where 10 people find themselves on an island with no memories of who they are and how they got there. The island has some grueling challenges they need to survive and hopefully improve from. Kate Bosworth is starring and producing the series. She is joined by The Crossing’s Natalie Martinez and I Am Number Four’s Alex Pettyfer. There are no release dates yet for the shows.
