'Knives Out' will be getting a sequel

Lionsgate

The modern whodunit Knives Out will be getting a sequel. Two top executives from Lionsgate confirmed the news. CEO Jon Feltheimer and Motion Picture Group Chairman Joe Drake announced Thursday's conference call with Wall Street analysts about plans for production for another Knives Out film and John Wick 4. The latter is scheduled for a May 21, 2021 release.

Knives Out will soon break US$300 million at the worldwide box office, and it has gotten Golden Globes and Oscar nominations. The film's director Rian Johnson has said in interviews he wanted to create a sequel revolving around Daniel Craig's character Benoit Blanc as he investigates a new case.
