Microsoft's Your Phone app now lets you control music on your Android from a Windows 10 PC

Microsoft started testing the ability to control music from your Android on your Windows 10 machine at the end of April, and now it's rolling out to users.

The music or audio track you're playing on your smartphone can be seen on the Your Phone PC app. It displays a mini-player at the bottom left of the app with album art, song title, artist, what app is playing the track, and music control buttons similar to built-in Windows 10 music controls.

There is a drop-down menu to let you switch between sources or music apps on your phone. It supports most Android music/audio apps, including Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, Google Play Music, YouTube Music, Xiaomi Music, and Google Podcast. However, it doesn't support YouTube videos or Audible.

If this feature interests you, you will need Your Phone to be on version 1.20051.93.0 on your Windows PC and version 1.20051.113.0 on Android.
