No, you can't buy it, but it certainly fits the times. Razer's Project Hazel concept shows what a gaming hardware company can do with something as essential as a face mask.

Razer takes the N95-class face mask and adds some smart features to it. Some ideas included in Project Hazel are active ventilation and auto sterilization. Its bacteria filtration efficiency pods promise to trap 95 percent of airborne particles. It has a case that charges and sterilizes the mask's ventilators. It uses replaceable filters alongside the ventilators on its pods, so it's more of a sustainable solution.

As mentioned, it has RGB lighting, but it is more than a decorative piece. The LEDs on the pods indicate charge status. There are also internal LEDs to make sure you're mouth is seen in low light. The hard of hearing and the deaf might find this mask useful on themselves and others since the mouth is visible. The pods also have audio-processing algorithms to make your voice sound clearer and more natural.

With silicone edges and adjustable ear loops, this mask provides an airtight seal. It also lets you adjust the amount of airflow, so you're comfortable when you use it.

We don't know if Project Hazel will turn into an actual product. We also can't speak about whether it will be protective or not. But we do like seeing how companies are developing products that both look cool and can be useful while living through a pandemic.
