'Halo Infinite' to get a dedicated Slayer playlist on Dec. 14

343 Industries/Xbox Game Studios

Halo Infinite is getting a "basic" version of one of the series' most popular multiplayer modes. According to 343 Industries community lead Brian Jarrard, a dedicated Slayer playlist will be released as an update on December 14. It won't be the variants the studio promised to release after the holidays, but 343 plans to "bolster and expand" this playlist in the future.

The update will also join the three already-promised options coming: Fiesta, FFA, and Tactical Slayer (SWAT). This December 14 release will also take out or ease requirements for existing challenges while introducing more to accompany the new playlists.

A new challenge category based on your score will be introduced. It should reflect your in-game performance, but it's expected to be an "initial step" toward actual performance-based experience points.
