LG introduces 'first gaming laptop' with premium specs

Ahead of its launch at CES 2022, LG is showing off what it calls its "first gaming laptop." The 17-inch UltraGear 17G90Q packs in some high-end specs, including an 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake H processor, GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics, up to 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

That setup is paired with a 300Hz 1080p IPS panel and a sizeable 93Wh battery. It includes an adequate amount of ports: a USB 5 Gen 3x2 (Type C) with Thunderbolt 4, a USB-C 3.2 2x1, two USB 3.2 Gen 2x1, microSD, HDMI, RJ45, and a headphone jack. Its power button serves as a fingerprint sensor. And it comes with a 1080p webcam, too.

The LG UltraGear 17G90Q comes in an aluminum case in a gray/purple colour scheme. It's around 21.4mm thin and relatively lightweight at 5.82 pounds. LG hasn't shared pricing yet, but it's expected to launch in the US and South Korea in early 2022. We expect to hear more about it during CES happening next month.
