Get your blood pumping with Fitbit's 'Get in Your Zone Challenge'

Fitbit always has gamified fitness by offering badges and trophies to motivate its users to move. The newest way Fitbit wants you to exercise this week is its "Get in Your Zone Challenge" that kicks off today. Its focus is on Active Zone Minutes, and it encourages you to have a "friendly competition with yourself."

The aim is to meet your recommended amount of time this heart rate-based metric suggests. Active Zone Minutes coincide with the American Heart Association's recommendation of 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise per week.

The challenge lasts for seven days, and if you meet the specific criteria, you'll earn these exclusive badges:

  • "Silver" badge at 75 AZM
  • "Gold" badge at 150 AZM
  • "Diamond" badge at 300 AZM

To join the challenge, you'll need a Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Charge 4, or Inspire 2. You can enter via the "Need more motivation?" banner at the top of the Fitbit app. And the app will also show you a summary, so you can keep track of your progress and see how far along you are and if you've hit your goal.
