Fitbit Sense in Canada to get ECG feature

Source: Fitbit

After first launching in the US and some parts of Europe, the Fitbit Sense wearable available here is getting the ECG feature. It will also be coming to New Zealand and the US territories, including American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. This feature allows the smartwatch to analyze your heart rhythms for atrial fibrillation.

Aside from bringing ECG here, Fitbit is introducing blood glucose tracking to its Android and iOS apps. But this feature is coming to the US first. It will allow users there to log or automatically import their blood glucose readings. Those who use the OneTouch Reveal app from LifeScan can connect to the Fitbit app, so all their health information is in one place. The company plans to add other meters and apps soon.

The Fitbit Charge 4 will also get on-device SpO2 readings along with metric and skin temperature data in Health Metrics. This fitness tracker will get its firmware update soon.
