Marvel unveils the first trailer of 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'
Marvel's newest superhero is coming to the big screen real soon. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu as the titular hero. The studio dropped the trailer and its first poster today on the actor's birthday.
The two-minute trailer gives us non-stop action, special effects, and as Mashable points out, Liu kicking ass both with and without his shirt on. We don't know much about the movie's premise, but as the trailer shows, we have Shang-Chi confronting his past after getting involved with the Ten Rings. Shang-Chi has a different father in the movie, who is played by Tony Leung.
This film marks the first time we're seeing both the terrorist group, Ten Rings, and its leader, the Mandarin, in the MCU. There was a nod to it in Iron Man 3, but that whole thing, as you probably know, was a farce.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to hit theatres on Sept. 3.
