Canadian startup Couply wins Collision 2021's PITCH competition

The winner of Collision Conference's pitching competition is a homegrown startup and one that seems to reflect our times. Couply is the PITCH winner for 2021, beating out US enterprise software company SalesBeat and Colombian e-commerce startup Dondo.

Couply is a free app designed to help couples improve their relationships with the help of tech. The app helps out with gift and date ideas, thoughtful moments, reminders of important occasions, and even proposals. The app builds personality profiles using quizzes and holds quarterly structured relationship check-ins.

"Couply works on research-based quizzes, and that gives us the filter so that we can give people this custom information that's based on their personality type," said co-founder Tim Johnson. "This is an area we're excited to continue to explore as we grow partnerships with people in this space.

PITCH is powered by KPMG Private Enterprise. It brings together the world's most promising startups to compete. Of the 1,266 startups who attended Collision 2021, 50 entered the group rounds of the competition and pitched in front of judges, including Salesforce Ventures' Matt Garratt, Muse's Ariel Garten, and B Capital Group's Rashmi Gopinath.
