WhatsApp would hardly work for users who don't accept new privacy policy

WhatsApp recently introduced new privacy policies for users, which included new terms that ensure it will share data with Facebook as a condition of its use. It has caused an uproar among users that forced WhatsApp to delay its release. But now, the Facebook-owned messaging service will disable the app's functionalities that will basically render it useless for those who refuse to accept the new privacy policy.

Previously, WhatsApp said it wouldn't delete or deactivate accounts of those who don't accept the new terms. And while that remains true, the messaging service won't be useful. 

Starting May 15, users will lose features like access to the chat list, audio and video call access, and notifications for new messages. 

Users have been looking for alternatives to WhatsApp after this whole debacle. Some of the apps include Signal, Telegram, and Apple's iMessage.
