Fitbit Premium introduces Daily Readiness Score
Alongside the launch of the new Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit introduced a new metric to help achieve holistic health. Fitbit Premium subscribers will soon get access to the service's new Daily Readiness Score. It uses the insights it gains to assess when you can perform your physical best. That means it'll let you know if you should work out and push yourself or you should take some time to recover.
It monitors your activity, heart rate variability (HRV) and recent sleep. You'll then receive a personalized score each morning, along with details on what impacted the score. You'll also get suggestions like a recommended activity and Premium content to help you decide what's best for your body and what workouts will be the most efficient.
According to Fitbit, Daily Readiness is built on research that taking the time to recover can produce stronger results in the long run. You don't need to push yourself all the time as this could lead to overtraining or injury, impacting your mood, appetite, weight, and sleep.
Fitbit will be rolling out Daily Readiness to Premium members with Sense, Versa 2 and 3, Charge 5, Luxe, and Inspire 2 devices.
The Stress Management Score will also offer a breakdown of your responsiveness, exertion balance, and sleep patterns.
Aside from these features, Premium members will also get 25 new high-energy workouts from fitness brand LES MILLS.
As we mentioned in the Charge 5 story, Fitbit Premium members will also get access to 30 pieces of Calm content in seven languages. Those with a Charge 5 or Sense can start an EDA Scan on-wrist while completing a mindfulness session in the app to see how your session affects your heart rate, electrodermal activity, and stress responses. These Calm sessions will also count towards your weekly mindfulness goal.
These new content and features help give you a more holistic look at your daily health and wellness. Daily Readiness will be available in all languages to Premium members with compatible devices in the Fitbit app. LES MILLS workouts are available today to all Premium users, with Calm content becoming available next month.
