Apple brings 120Hz refresh rate to iPhone 13 Pro, Pro Max

The new iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max come equipped with the new A15 Bionic processor, a new triple camera array, and a better display. For the first time, Apple brings a 120Hz refresh rate to its smartphone's display.
Both devices get Super Retina XDR displays with a variable refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz and gets as bright as 1,000 nits. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max retain last year's screen size at 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively. But, like the base iPhone 13 models, these phones have smaller notches.
Apple improves the cameras on the iPhone 13 Pro models with a new three-camera system. The wide, main lens offers improved low-light photography with its larger sensor, while the ultrawide gets a wider aperture. The telephoto camera now goes up to 3x zoom, allowing 6x optical zoom across the three cameras.
The company brings night mode to all sensors and offers a new macro mode for shooting subjects as close as 2cm. Both phones also get sensor-shift optical image stabilization.
The Pro models also get the cinematic mode and photographic profiles. Apple also supports filming up to 4K / 30fps in ProRes, which gives video editors a higher quality video to edit. But the base 128GB option will top out at 1080p / 30fps. Apple plans to bring ProRes support "in a future iOS 15 update."
Battery life is also improved similarly to the standard iPhone 13 models. The iPhone 13 Pro lasts 1.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max gets 2.5 hours more than its predecessor.
Base storage is at 128GB. It goes up to 1TB, which is the largest capacity Apple has offered on its smartphones.
The Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are available in four shades: Graphite, Gold, Silver, and Sierra Blue. The iPhone 13 Pro's pricing starts at $1,399, while the Pro Max begins at $1,549
Pre-orders begin on September 17, with the release on September 24.
