Valve claims Steam Deck on track for an end of February shipment

Source: Valve

If you were disappointed about the delay of Valve's Switch-like console, then you'll be happy to hear an update about its release. Valve announced that it "looks like" Steam Deck shipments will begin by the end of February. As The Verge reminded us, we are still in the middle of a pandemic, so things and schedules can change. But the publication claims the preorder windows seem to be holding steady.

Aside from the hardware, the software is equally essential. Valve reported it shipped out "hundreds" of Steam Deck units to developers last month to ensure their PC games will work with the device's software and its AMD-powered hardware.

We haven't heard details about the Steam Deck dock that allows you to play games on a big screen. Hopefully, the company has more to share on this front in the coming weeks.
