Pinterest adds Shop Tab on Business Profiles, plus more merchant features

Pinterest recently released several updates for retailers on its platforms to connect with shoppers on Pinterest easily. Some of the new features give merchants improved control, new capabilities, and functionality to bring products from store shelves to recommendations on the platform.
One of the new features is a new Shop Tab on Business Profiles. You can easily showcase shoppable products and get the option to have customizable product group cover images and descriptions and an enhanced mobile interface.
Canada is one of the new markets to get "Inspired Merchant Badges," which allows merchants to add badges to their profiles that show off their values and communities. You can add descriptors like Black-owned, Sustainable, and more.
There is also a video option in the product catalogue to show off a product from different angles. Pinterest also adds product tagging to add products from your catalogue to scene images.
And there's a new API for Pinterest Shopping. The API offers catalogue and product metadata management to allow for more efficient data quality of products. According to Pinterest, this API led to a 97% accuracy level for price and availability data.
