Samsung has a new 8K ultra-short throw projector

This is The Premiere 4K, there are no images released for the 8K model yet (Source: Samsung)

You may not want an 8K TV in your home, but what about an 8K projector? Samsung debuted The Premiere 8K projector at CES 2023, following up on the 2020 4K model. The company hasn't released official images for this 8K ultra-short throw, and we only have a few details. But it just shows us what's coming from Samsung.

The Premiere 8K can hit a maximum screen size of 150 inches, which beats the 4K version's 130 inches. Samsung hasn't revealed much beyond that. But to get a better idea, The Premiere 4K uses triple laser technology, hits a peak brightness of 2,800 ANSI lumens, and runs on Samsung's Smart TV platform. And since the 8K model is also an ultra-short throw, you can place it very close to where you want to project it to.

The downside to 8K tech is there isn't much content in that native resolution. But this projector can upscale your shows or films to approximate that. Samsung hasn't shared the pricing for The Premiere 8K. But it's safe to assume it'll come at a premium.
