New MacBooks expected at WWDC 2023
Aside from its rumoured mixed reality headset, Apple is reportedly introducing new MacBook models during its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year. While WWDC is typically a software- and developer-centric event, hardware has also appeared frequently. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claims new MacBook laptops are coming to the conference.
Gurman said we could expect to see a 15-inch MacBook Air, an updated 13-inch MacBook Air, an updated 24-inch iMac, a new 13-inch MacBook Pro, updated high-end MacBook Pro models, and the first Mac Pro running on an Apple Silicon chip. There are supposedly two Mac Studio follow-ups, too.
All these models are expected to arrive in 2023 or early 2024, except for the Mac Studio, which has a "less clear" timing. According to Gurman, "at least some" notebook models will launch at WWDC but don't expect M3 chips on these devices.
