Microsoft to unveil new products and AI innovations on Sept. 21 event
Microsoft is gearing up for a September event to showcase its new products and AI breakthroughs. The media received invitations for the September 21 event in New York City on August 17. Microsoft has been tight-lipped about the details but promised to reveal the latest updates on Microsoft 365, Bing, Windows, Surface, and more.
The company had a similar event last October, introducing the Surface Pro 9, the Surface Laptop 5, and the Surface Studio 2 Plus. Artificial intelligence remains a vital area of innovation for Microsoft, so we expect to hear more about that.
Microsoft has integrated AI chat features into its Microsoft Edge browser and Bing search engine. It also launched Windows Copilot, a tool that adds an AI chat interface to Windows. Microsoft may have more plans to embed AI into its other products.
September is shaping up to be a busy month for tech events. Apple will also hold its annual event in September to unveil the next iPhone. Meta and Google are likely to have their events around the same time, too. There is also the tech consumer tradeshow IFA happening in Berlin a few days from now.
