Meta launches 'Super Rumble,' a cross-platform game for the metaverse

Meta

Meta is making Horizon Worlds more accessible by bringing it to the web and mobile devices. The company has launched Super Rumble, a first-person shooter game developed by its in-house studio Ouro Interactive, for a limited number of mobile users. The game is available through the Meta Quest app on Android and will soon be on iOS devices as well. Desktop users can also play the game on Horizon’s official website.

Super Rumble will support cross-platform play, meaning that users can join their friends in the game regardless of what device they are using. Meta plans to roll out more worlds in the next few months to allow people to hang out, chat, and enjoy free concerts in the metaverse.

Meta had to optimize the game’s controls for different devices, such as mute and pause buttons for mobile devices and computers. The game is still in the testing phase on mobile and the web so users may encounter some bugs and glitches.
