Samsung’s Music Frame: A speaker that doubles as art
Samsung has taken the TV from a bulky appliance to a sleek piece of home decor, and now it's doing the same for speakers. The Music Frame is the latest addition to Samsung's 2024 TV and audio lineup, and it's part of the Frame series that blends technology with art. At first glance, it looks like a simple picture frame, but it conceals six powerful speakers and Samsung's audio processing tech.
The Samsung Music Frame can display your favourite artwork or photos on its centre screen, a diasec matte acrylic plate called the "Art Panel." It can also produce immersive surround sound with Samsung's Q-Symphony technology, which lets it sync with TVs and soundbars from the 2024 catalogue. You can also use it as a standalone speaker via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Samsung designed the Music Frame to be mounted on the wall and function as "a TV speaker, rear speaker, or a subwoofer" depending on the setup. It also has Samsung's SpaceFit technology that adjusts the volume based on the room's acoustics.
The Music Frame, which measures 13 x 13 inches, was showcased at CES 2024, but Samsung has not announced its release date or price yet.
