Rogers celebrates NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto with Stanley Cup surprise
Toronto hockey fans got a special treat this morning as Rogers brought the Stanley Cup and Toronto Maple Leafs legend Tomas Kaberle to the TTC subway. Kaberle, who won the Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011, joined the commuters on the “red rocket” and posed for pictures with the iconic trophy.
The fun continued at Union Station, where Rogers laid out the red carpet for more fan interactions, giveaways and surprises.
“I’m grateful to Rogers for this amazing Stanley Cup experience,” says Kaberle, a former Leafs defenseman and Bruins champion. “Toronto has some of the most passionate hockey fans in the world and I’m excited to see what Rogers has in store for NHL All-Star Weekend.”
Rogers is the title sponsor of the 2024 Rogers NHL All-Star Game, which will take place on February 3 in Toronto. Rogers will also host exclusive events that connect customers and fans with the NHL’s brightest stars.
