OnePlus 12: The new flagship smartphone with stunning features

OnePlus, the global technology brand, has unveiled the OnePlus 12, its latest flagship smartphone, in New Delhi, India. The OnePlus 12 is packed with many new and impressive features that make it one of the most powerful and advanced smartphones in the market. It debuts alongside the OnePlus 12R.

It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the latest and most powerful processor from Qualcomm. OnePlus said it worked closely with Qualcomm to optimize the performance of this chipset. The OnePlus 12 also features a Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System to keep the phone cool and efficient. It has the largest VC ever in a OnePlus device, measuring 9,140 mm². It enhances heat transfer and reduces resistance.

It supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. And with its proprietary Trinity Engine, the OnePlus 12 can keep apps readily available in the background for 72 hours.

One of the most remarkable features of the OnePlus 12 is its fast charging technology. The OnePlus 12 has a 5,400mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. You'll need OnePlus' proprietary chargers—both wired and wireless—to achieve these speeds. And while the charging brick and cable come with the phone, the wireless charger is a separate purchase.

The OnePlus 12 also has a stunning 2K 120Hz ProXDR display with a peak brightness of 4500nits, the highest among mainstream flagship smartphones. This display is powered by BOE’s innovative blue diamond pixel layout, which sets or matches 18 records of DisplayMate A+ standards. The OnePlus 12 also pays attention to eye strain, using 2160Hz PWM dimming and TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification to reduce blue light emission and adjust the colour temperature.

This flagship OnePlus phone is equipped with the fourth-generation Hasselblad Camera for Mobile, enabling you to capture every moment as an impressive memory. The main camera is the industry-first 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 wide-angle camera, which has a large sensor size and can absorb 50% more light than the previous model. It promises exceptional performance in low-light or back-lit environments. 

The OnePlus 12 also has a 64-megapixel OV64B 3X periscope telephoto camera, which can capture stunning photos at any distance with 3x optical zoom, 6X in-sensor zoom, and 120X hybrid zoom.

The OnePlus 12 will go on sale in Canada starting February 6. You can get it in Flowy Emerald and Silky Black. It retails for $1,070 for the 12GB + 256GB model and $1,200 for the 16GB + 512GB variant. OnePlus is also offering a unique trade-in deal for the OnePlus 12—if purchased via OnePlus.com, consumers can get an additional $100 off by trading in any phone in any condition.
