'Star Trek: Section 31' is coming straight to streaming on Paramount+ on Jan. 24

Star Trek: Section 31 comes directly to Paramount Plus when it debuts on January 24. The release date was announced during a Star Trek panel at the New York Comic Con. We will see Michelle Yeoh's Emperor Philippa Georgiou put her Mirrorverse skills to the test as a secret spy.

We last saw Emperor Georgiou (an alternate-dimension version of Captain Georgiou in Discovery's first season) as she was flung back in time by a being called the Guardian of Forever. Before this, she was recruited as a member of Section 31, the clandestine organization that shows the shady side of the seemingly pristine Federation.

Originally meant to be a TV series, Section 31 will follow Emperor Georgiou's time as a Section 31 operative who "must face the sins of her past." The movie also stars Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrok, Omari Hardwick, Robert Kazinsky, and Miku Martineau, who plays "a young Philippa Georgiou."
