Energizer Hard Case P28K packs in a 28,000mAh battery

Avenir Telecom is back with a phone unlike any other: the aptly named Energizer Hard Case P28K. It boasts a massive 28,000mAh battery, promising up to a week of regular use on a single charge. This is a phone built for off-the-grid adventures, with a rugged IP69 rating to withstand the elements. Talk time is a staggering 122 hours (over five days), and standby stretches to a mind-blowing 94 days.

However, with great power comes great size. The Hard Case P28K is a thick boi at 27.8mm and a hefty 570g, making it three times thicker and heavier than an iPhone 15. This isn't the phone for those seeking a sleek device.

Despite its focus on battery life, the P28K doesn't skimp entirely on other features. It supports fast charging up to 33W, fully replenishing the battery in under 1.5 hours with the included 36W charger. You also get decent specs for the price, including 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, a triple-camera system, Android 14, and a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD. However, there's no 5G and the processor is a midrange MediaTek MT6789.

The Hard Case P28K is a niche product, geared towards those who prioritize unmatched battery life over other smartphone considerations. It's launching globally in October for €249.99 (around CA$367). If you're tired of constant charging anxiety and value durability, the P28K might be the power bank in disguise you've been waiting for.
