Fujifilm breathes new life into the instax mini LiPlay
Five years after its debut, Fujifilm has refreshed the popular instax mini LiPlay hybrid instant camera. The update focuses on both style and convenience.
The instax mini LiPlay now sports three trendy new colours: matcha green, misty white, and deep bronze. It retains its core functionality as a camera that doubles as a printer for your smartphone photos, eliminating the need for a separate device like the Kodak Smile.
While the 13 design frames, six filters, audio recording with QR code integration, and 5-megapixel sensor remain unchanged, the refresh brings two key improvements. The LiPlay now boasts a USB-C charging port for faster and more universally compatible charging. Additionally, firmware updates can be done effortlessly through the dedicated smartphone app for both iOS and Android, ditching the previous method of downloading updates from a website and loading them onto a microSD card.
The revamped Instax mini LiPlay hits shelves on July 19, priced at $229.99 in Canada. It launches alongside the new instax Wide 400.
