Solos challenges Meta's Ray-Bans with feature-packed AirGo Vision smart glasses

Solos, the company behind the AirGo smart glasses, isn't afraid of a little healthy competition. Taking inspiration from Ray-Ban Meta, Solos unveils the AirGo Vision, boasting a front-facing camera for on-the-go AI-powered experiences.

The camera unlocks a world of possibilities. Imagine pointing your glasses and instantly getting information about what you're seeing, like detailed product descriptions while shopping or step-by-step navigation assistance. AirGo Vision leverages the power of ChatGPT-4o, making it the first of its kind. But that's not all—thanks to its open architecture, you can switch between AI models like Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude for a truly personalized experience.

Unlike Ray-Ban Meta, AirGo Vision offers a unique modular design. The camera cleverly sits in the arm, allowing you to swap the front frame for different styles without sacrificing functionality and going without the camera if you don't need it. This modularity extends to the new LED notification light. The light discreetly alerts you to incoming messages and even flashes when the camera captures a photo. Solos AirGo Vision is expected to launch later this year for an undisclosed price.

Aside from the AirGo Vision, Solos plans to sell three styles of its AirGo smart glasses without the camera but with the LED notification light. These will retail in July for US$250 (around CA$343) and be available as a full pair of glasses or solely the frame and arms.
