EA to release a 'MySims: Cozy Bundle' on the Switch
There hasn't been a The Sims game on the Nintendo Switch yet, until now. Well, sort of. Switch gamers are going to get a version of it. EA has announced the release of a MySims: Cozy Bundle for the handheld console. It will include updated versions of the MySims and MySims Kingdom games with Switch-optimized controls and updated textures.
MySims can be described as a cross between The Sims and Animal Crossing. You're tasked to rebuild a run-down town by procuring blueprints, building homes, and making furniture to attract new residents. There are different characters with unique characteristics that set them apart.
The original MySims game was considered a spin-off of The Sims but was developed exclusively for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS in 2007. There are no "survival" mechanics here, so you don't have to worry about feeding or putting your characters to sleep. The building system is also simpler compared to The Sims' approach. Meanwhile, MySims Kingdom goes the medieval/fantasy route but follows similar gameplay to the original.
There are other entries in the series as well, including MySims Agents, MySims Party, MySims Racing, and MySims SkyHeroes. But none of these are included in this bundle. And there are no hints about whether it'll feature different elements than the original releases. For now, we're assuming it'll be a direct port of the games.
The MySims: Cozy Bundle launches on the Nintendo Switch on November 19 for CA$54.99 and you can preorder it now.
