Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, the latest additions to its flagship smartphone lineup. The phones boast some new features, with a particular focus on software and performance.
One UI 7 is the new software that powers the Galaxy S25 series. It promises several improvements, including a new Personal Data Engine allowing on-device artificial intelligence features. The Personal Data Engine can be used for things like a plain-spoken request to find an old photo from your gallery. (You can check more of the new AI features here.)
The Galaxy S25 series also comes with a new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset that promises significant performance improvements over the previous generation. The chipset is paired with 12GB of RAM as standard, and there are 256GB and 512GB storage options available. (For the Galaxy S25, it has a base 128GB storage variant.)
The cameras on the Galaxy S25 series have also been upgraded but concentrated on its ProVisual Engine. The phones now support 10-bit HDR video recording by default and come with a new Galaxy Log function. There is also better noise reduction for nighttime videos. The camera hardware remains largely unchanged from the S22 series, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. The 12-megapixel front-facing selfie camera also carries over.
The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will be available in various colours, including Navy, Silver Shadow, Icy Blue, and Mint. Samsung.com will also be offering three exclusive colours, including Blue Black, Coral Red, and Pink Gold.
The Samsung Galaxy S25's pricing starts at $1,198.99, while the Galaxy S25+'s pricing starts at $1,438.99 in Canada.
