Defining the iPad Ecosystem

The Apple iPad will hit stores in about two months, which means that developers, accessory manufacturers and clever entrepreneurs will be clamouring to release new products that complement and enhance the tablet's features and functionality. There's money to be made in the iPad ecosystem and as creative manufacturers with good products are on a cusp of a gold rush.

PEER 1 Hosting launches Largest Data Centre in Toronto 

PEER 1's President and CEO: Fabio Banducci -" “The Internet is a vital platform for our customers, and it continues to grow,”PEER 1 Hosting, Inc. a global online IT hosting provider announced the opening of its US$40 million data centre, located in Toronto, Ontario. At more than 40,000 square feet, this new data centre is more than twice the size of a professional hockey rink and marks the first time PEER 1 Hosting is offering all three hosting solutions – colocation, dedicated hosting and managed hosting – in Canada.  The centre will be open for sales beginning February 1st, and will be operational for customers to start moving their equipment in March.

Thoughts on the iPad

The iPad, crummy name, amazing device. In terms of industrial design, this is likely to be up there with the MacBook Air, the Mac Mini and the iPod Shuffle in the "how did they fit all that...in there?" category. Sure, some would say that iPad is really a gargantuan iPod Touch. That's being extremely shortsighted-- wake up, smell the coffee and see that the iPad is Apple's triple-threat device and its going after netbooks, eReaders and portable gaming devices.

Apple launches iPad tablet computer


Apple's CEO Steve Jobs today introduced iPad, a device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading e-books and much more.

The long awaited tablet is built on Apple's iPhone OS platform and can run most of the available iPhone applications natively. The iPad’s responsive high-resolution Multi-Touch display lets users physically interact with applications and content. iPad is just 0.5 inches thick and weighs just 1.5 pounds— thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook.
