Steve Jobs 'biopic' fails at box office

Despite a lot of early hype and buzz, the Aaron Sorkin penned and Danny Boyle directed Steve Jobs biopic, which opened last weekend, bombed at the box office early on.

The movie, which stars Michael Fassbender as the titular character and Apple Inc's iconic founder, earned a paltry US $ 7.3 million, which is just a bit more than Ashton Kutcher's execrable Jobs movie from 2013, which made US $ 6.7 million on its opening weekend.

Aaron Sorkin takes offence with Tim Cook’s comments about the ‘Steve Jobs’ movie

Aaron Sorkin has some biting words for Apple CEO Tim Cook as he criticized the latest Steve Jobs biopic that he penned. First trailer for the Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic shows up

We’re finally getting the first look at the new Aaron Sorkin movie based on Steve Jobs’ life. Universal Studios just released the first trailer of the film starring Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs. We can’t tell yet what type of film it’s going to be like but we’re excited to see more.

The film is based on Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs biography and it also stars the likes of Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, and Jeff Daniels as John Sculley. The movie is directed by Danny Boyle and is scheduled for an October 9 release in the US. Will this be better than Pirates of Silicon Valley? Expectations are high, it definitely can't be worse than Ashton Kutcher's Jobs.
