Instagram will let you manually reset its recommendation algorithm

Instagram will soon allow you to reset the recommendation algorithm to change what you see in your feeds. The reset affects the Explore, Reels, and Feed tabs. The change is aimed especially at teenagers to guarantee they see more age-appropriate content. In this mode, you can also review your "following" list and unfollow accounts. Your recommendations will start personalizing over time based on the content and accounts you interact with.

Gmail tipped to offer temporary email addresses

You might be able to use a temporary email with your Gmail soon. At least, references to the feature were spotted in the Gmail Android app's apk file. Google calls it "Shielded Email." The idea is you get a temporary email address you can give out to third parties instead of using your actual email. And when you receive emails through this address, they get forwarded to your regular inbox. If you want to kill the account and not receive emails through it, you can easily do so without dealing with unsubscribing or other tedious processes.

From the screenshot shared by Android Authority, it seems there might be options to have more than one Shielded Email. However, it's unclear if Google will roll out this feature. We will keep our eyes out for any updates.

Google was bound to bring its Gemini artificial intelligence model to products like the Nest and Home platform. The fall update brings some features to these segments. With a Nest camera, you can look through the camera history using natural language queries. For example, you can ask, "Did someone deliver a package today?" This feature is limited to Nest Aware Plus subscribers, but it might not come to all paid users, for now.
