Apple remembers Steve Jobs with video slideshow at Apple.com

It has been a year since Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs' passing. Apple has placed a touching video slideshow and retrospective of their iconic leader with various highlights and sound bites from various milestones in Apple's history through the years.

After the short video, a note from Apple CEO Tim Cook reads, "One of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever insipired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation at Apple. We share the great privilege and responsibility ofcarrying his legacy into the future."

SlideShow: Apple's iPhone 5 and iPod Event

Here are some photos from yesterday's action packed Apple iPhone 5 launch event which took place in San Francisco. It was an intense and busy product launch with the much awaited iPhone 5 plus new iPods and a few Foo Fighters for good measure. The iPhone 5 and the iPods  are available for pre-order tomorrow, September 14. iPhone 5 comes to stores on September 21.

Adobe's Creative Cloud and its evolving software rental model

Adobe is one of the world's biggest software companies and since last year has been pushing a new product distribution and maintenance service through its Creative Cloud initiative. 

With Creative Cloud, most if not all of Adobe's major software products are available via subscription. Users pay a monthly  fee to access applications which are managed remotely on Adobe's server's. The upside to this model is that users never have to worry about updating software since the cloud will offer up the latest versions, fixes and updates.
