SlideShow: Samsung's Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear Fit

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

We didn't get enough time with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Gear Fit review units to bang out a proper review but we did get various photos of the devices and were generally impressed byt the Galaxy Gear Fit's screen, touch functionality and multi-functional health-tracking features. The Gear Fit's curved screen stands out, although the device is thicker and heavier than we expected. As for the GS5, we're digging the white variant a bit more than the darker coloured version but overall, these are the best Galaxy smartphones we've seen.

First look at LG's notebooks and desktops from CES 2014

By Gadjo C. Sevilla

LG is not the first name to come to mind when your're thinking notebook or desktop computers, but judging from the range of new products showcased during CES 2014 and captured by contributor Alex Davies, LG's been busy ramping up their PC and even Chromebase (?) portfolio. Now, while many of these look really sweet, LG's traditionally focused its notebook sales in Asia, so it's anyone's guess if any of these will make it to Canada anytime soon but we can always hope.

SlideShow: HTC One

New York:

Text and photos by Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Here are some photos of the newly launched HTC One flagship smartphone. Photos don't really do the new 4.7-inch smuper smartphone justice, you also don't get how light it is just by looking at the pics. Initial impressions are that this sets a new standard for construction and features in Android devices. The sleek unibody case feels great in the hand. HTC also pushed out innovations in many of the key areas of focus including the sound, camera, news delivery and user interface hoping to win new users over when the device ships in March.
