See photos taken by the Google Pixel

Google's Pixel smarphone has been received with glowing reviews for its hardware as well as the new Assistant feature and what's now considered as one of the best smartphone cameras in the market. The Pixel still loses points for being pricey, lacking water resistance and storage expansion. The Pixel does shine in the camera department and while I find it adds some post-processing fairy dust to saturate photos a bit more, the results are quite amazing. Check out some recent unedited photos taken by the Pixel XL's 12.3 megapixel camera.

Here's a closer look at the two premium-priced Android smartphones Google released today. The 5-inch Google Pixel and the 5.5-inch Pixel XL which are made of Gorilla Glass and aluminum (with a glass panel for the fingerprint sensor and trackpad at the rear). The devices managed to get the highest DXOMark ratings for any smartphone camera quality and are also tightly integrated with the new Google Assistant learning A.I. We hope to get review units soon to test what these devices can offer and see if they really merit the premium price.

The new HTC 10 looks and feels like a proper premium smartphone from a company that's carefully developed devices with many core strengths. HTC may have missed a beat or two with some of their previous offerings, but the company is back in full force with what could be their perfect 10 device and the best flagship they've ever built.

The HTC 10 is about simplification. A pared down OS that's closer to Pure Android than ever, a sleek yet purposeful new design that succeeds in making a 5.2-inch phone fit in the dimensions of a 5-inch device. Improved front and rear camera optics, top-shelf processor and performance, plus a battery that can last the whole day and night (and be quickly charged to 50% in 30 minutes), are just the tip of the very cool iceberg that is the HTC 10.

For better or for worse, the HTC 10 will only be released via Bell Mobility in Canada (but you can pay full price to get it unlocked from HTC online). 

Today is the last day to order photo books from Apple to receive by Dec 24
