IFA 2012: Samsung introduces the ultimate smart camera

IFA, Berlin ( Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) - Phablets, which merge the size and features of smartphones and tablets are so last year! Samsung's gone and Frankensteined a smartphone and a point and shoot camera, the result is far from monstrous. It is rather intriguing. The aptly named Samsung Galaxy Camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with a 4.8-inch LCD that also serves as the giant viewfinder and will be where most of the controls can be accessed. It has 21x zoom plus for those who were wondering, it does feature WiFi, 3G and even 4G which means it can be used as a phone.

Motorola Atrix HD LTE now available from Bell

 

Motorola Mobility is launching the third in its Atrix line of flagship Android smartphones. The Atrix HD LTE is a 4G Long Term Evolution smartphone available from Bell for $600, you can get it on contract for $50.00. Featuring a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor compatible with Bell’s  4G LTE network, a 4.5" ColourBoost HD screen, 8.4 mm thickness and durable Kevlar plus Gorilla Glass protection, it also runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Mobilicity to launch 4G network later this year

Mobilicity today announced plans to upgrade its unlimited 3.5G network to 4G later this year. The company confirmed customers can look forward to enhanced data performance with peak download speeds of up to 21 Mbps.

“We continue to invest in our network infrastructure as demand for our affordable, unlimited data service grows at an incredible rate,” said Mobilicity President and Chief Operating Officer Stewart Lyons. “Mobile broadband is the future; it already accounts for almost 90 percent of traffic on our network and we’re committed to providing a quality user experience.”
