But aside from that it’s been reported that the Marshmallow treatment will be heading to Canada, the United States, and Europe. Those reported to be getting the update in the coming weeks include those on Rogers, Bell, and Telus. According to Tech Times, the update is already rolling out to Bell and Telus subscribers, so you should just wait for it to head your way. The update is also said to be pushing to Galaxy S6 Edge+ users. Those on Rogers’s network are expected to get the over-the-air update on April 27th.

Android 6.0.1 update for the Moto X Play comes to Canada

A new update for Android Marshmallow is coming to Moto X Play owners in the country. Version 6.0.1. of the Android operating system brings with it things like new emojis, an easier way to launch the camera, and a very important security patch. The patch is very much welcome with all the security threats surfacing recently so it’s good Google is addressing these issues. Aside from that the update brings with it Unicode 8.0 to give you over a hundred new emojis. The camera now can also be launched by double pressing the power button. The shutter sound can also be turned on and off whenever you want to. The update is only 388MB so it should be a quick and easy update for your Moto X Play.

Fix found for missing "Do not disturb" alarm feature on Android

Android 5.1 Lollipop users have the option of controlling notifications with “Do not disturb until next alarm” option. However, said feature was removed when Android 6 Marshmallow was introduced. It was re-introduced in Android 6.0.1 update. But now it looks like it’s gone again. A Reddit thread points out that some users even saw it disappear while they were using the phone. According to Android Central, it seems to be happening to the Nexus 6P. But the Reddit thread points to the Nexus 5X.

An update on Reddit though claims it has to do with the date, “People figured out it had to do with the date. Change your date to past the holidays and it will reappear. Why Google did this... I don't know.” Anyway, if you’re one of the few who has the latest Android build, it’s best you know about this in case you miss an important alarm because of it.
