Power Trio: The Huawei P20 Pro Review

Huawei has begun rolling out Android 9.0 Pie via the EMUI 9 skin in China. It’s being reported that it’s hitting both the P20 and P20 Pro units. It’s the final build and it brings with it Huawei’s take on Google’s Digital Wellbeing app—Digital Balance—as well as better volume controls, GPU Turbo for smoother gameply, and gesture navigation. There is no word yet when it’ll be hitting the international market but with this being the final build, it shouldn’t be that long of a wait.

OnePlus rolls out Android Pie update for OnePlus 6

OnePlus is staying true to its word and has begun rolling out its take on Android Pie for the OnePlus 6. OxygenOS 9.0 brings many of the same improvements that’s available in the stock version of the operating system. OnePlus 6 users get the tweaked interface, adaptive battery functionality, and gesture navigation, to name a few. While it should come as a standard, unfortunately, it takes manufacturers many months to update their devices to the latest Android version. As The Verge reports, less than 15 percent of devices are running last year’s Android Oreo. Google has been trying to fix the fragmentation issue through Project Treble, and this might be the reason for the speedy release on the OnePlus 6.

The company has promised to bring Android Pie to a lot of its older devices, including OnePlus 5, 5T, 3, and 3T. So, owners of these older OnePlus devices just need to be patient, we’re sure it’s going to head your way soon.
