WishList: iControlPad iPhone game controller case and charger

While the Nintendo 3DS and the Sony NGP make their way to market, the iPhone is arguably the current darling of the portable gaming set. Touch is good and all but real gamers like real buttons, enter the iControlPad- a device that combines a Bluetooth controller, a 1500maH battery, a Digital Dpad, 2 Analogue nubs, 6 face buttons and 2 rear buttons. What's more is that the iControlPad is supposedly designed to work with a variety of smartphones and it is hacker friendly. Now on pre-order for US$80, the iControlPad may be the coolest gaming accessory we've seen for smartphones.

This is the LG G-Slate, a 3D-capable Honeycomb tablet

The LG G-Slate will apparently be a T-Mobile device (which for Canadians means it should work on Wind Mobile, Videotron and Mobilicity's networks). Clearly running a variant of Android's Honeycomb OS, this 8.9-inch tablet is expected to have a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 32GB of storage, a gyroscope and accelerometer combo plus 3D-capable stereoscopic dual-cameras in the rear (for shooting 3D videos and stills) plus a front-facing camera for video calls. You will 3D glasses to view photos and videos on the LG G-Slate's screen but it can also output regular HD video via a HDMI port. This is coming to T-Mobile in Spring.

Samsung ships 2 Million Galaxy Tabs in three months

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Samsung just announced that they have sold 2 million of their Galaxy Tab Android tablets in the past three months which is remarkable considering that they are only selling the 3G + Wi-Fi models that need to have a data plan and are sold through mobile carriers. We're hoping that the Galaxy Tab's strong adoption and popularity will guarantee a Honeycomb (Android 3.0) update in the near future. It will also be interesting to see how the Wi-Fi only variant of the Galaxy Tab sells once it is released. We recently wrote a column on why the Samsung Galaxy Tab may be the most compelling eBook reading device today.

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

We've been testing the Incipio Samsung Galaxy Tab Silicrylic hard shell case for about three weeks and find that it manages to offer superb protection at the expense of a little added bulk.
