Blackberry's PRIV smartphone is now available for pre-order in Canada, the United States, and UK. Built on BlackBerry’s legacy of securing and keeping private our customers’ data, PRIV brings the best of BlackBerry’s security, privacy and access to both a touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The device offers unique tools and features – like DTEK, our exclusive warning system app that lets you know when your privacy could be at risk so you can take action to improve it – as well as an elegant, slim design with a slide-out physical keyboard, 5.4-inch dual-curved screen and a powerful 18MP camera. And of course, access to the Google Play store to easily download all the apps you want.

PRIV will be the solution for smartphone users who are learning daily of the lack of privacy they have on their current devices. PRIV will be the answer for former BlackBerry users who miss the physical keyboard but want more apps. And we’re responding to current – and prospective – BlackBerry users who need it all: choice, innovation, security, privacy and productivity.

eBay has been around for a long time as the pioneering auction site. While intially deisigned for the desktop web, most of today's users access eBay through mobile browsers or apps. eBay released released eBay 4.0 - what it calls, "a new, immersive experience for eBay core apps for iPhone and Android, as well as updates to the iPad. eBay 4.0 is designed to simplify the way eBay customers browse, buy and sell, and is another step in our journey to create a customized, personalized experience across all screens."

Here are leaked photos of the Nokia C1 Android-powered smartphone

Following up on the N1 tablet, Nokia's upcoming C1 handset showed up in some leaked photos and we're getting a glimpse of what a Nokia-designed Android device is going to look like. Supposedly powered by an Intel chipset and 2GB of RAM, this will be a 5-inch device with a full 1080p HD display and it will run the upcoming Android 6.0 OS (Marshmallow).

This time around ODMs will build off Nokia's design and market the device using Nokia's branding. This means that there will at least be Nokia mobile devices in our future, even if they aren't as cohesive in look, feel and software as some recent devices. The C1 will be priced to be affordable and might be an emerging markets or prepaid focused device.

New BlackBerry Passport shown running Android in video

We know that BlackBerry is poised to release an Android-powered device, what we didn't know is that the recent Silver Edition BlackBerry Passport can actually run Android. Fast forward to 5:07 in the above video and you can see the Passport running Lollipop without a hitch. We still expect to see the BlackBerry 'Venice' slider as the first official Android device, but this Passport seems run Google's latest mobile OS pretty nicely. We're not testing the Silver Edition Passport as BlackBerry isn't loaning out review units but it will be interesting to see if anyone else installs Android on the wide BlackBerry flagship.
