Apple TV+'s first full-length 3D film 'Luck' gets a full trailer

Apple unveils the full trailer for its first full-length 3D movie, Luck. The film is the first movie to come out of its exclusive deal with Skydance Animation. Luck follows Sam Greenfield, an unlucky lady who finds her fortune changes when she stumbles into the Land of Luck. It'll drop on Apple TV+ on August 5. Characters are voiced by a pretty incredible cast, including Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Fonda, and more.

Apple and Skydance have a couple of projects in the pipeline already. One is the feature film Spellbound that's expected to debut early next year. Another is a TV series based on the WondLa children's book, which is promised to feature film-quality animation.

Here's a trailer of Studio Ghibli's first CG animated film

Earwig and the Witch will not be like any other Studio Ghibli film you've seen in the past. For one, it's the studio's first fully computer-generation animation. Even with a different style, there's still hope that it has the classic Miyazaki touch as Hayao's son Goro is directing the film. It will premiere on Japanese broadcaster NHK on December 30, and it's expected to hit North American theatres in early 2021 (given that they're open, of course).

For now, you can just take a peek at the trailer, which is understandably in Japanese. It follows Aya's story, an orphan who was taken from her home by a strange pair. She then discovers that she's a witch's daughter.

Warner Bros.'s 'Scoob!' will be heading straight to video on demand on May 15

The new Scooby-Doo animated film Scoob! is the latest movie to head straight to video on demand on May 15. Warner Bros. will make this animated film available for 48-hour rental at $20 or for purchase at $25 in the US and Canada. The film won't be immediately available to stream as part of Warner Bros.' HBO Max service.

Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff said that the COVID-19 pandemic had required the company to call for "creative thinking and adaptability in how [Warner Bros.] distributes content." And they aren't the only ones to do so. Earlier in the month, Universal Pictures brought Trolls World Tour straight to VOD services. Disney will be debuting its Artemis Fowl adaptation on Disney+.
