What you need to know about Apple's Special Event

 

Cupertino - We're in town for Apple special event later on today at 1 Infinite Loop where we expect to see new iPads, get a firm release date for OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1 as well as see some possible refreshes to Mac, Apple TV, and possibly some new product lines. A smaller, more intimate event, Apple will livestream the proceedings starting at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. Eastern). Check in here after the event for exclusive photos, videos and insights from the event.

The Apple Beat: October 16 event wish list

Apple has scheduled a special event in its Cupertino campus on Thursday October 16. While October events usually focus on iPads, and we’re expecting some new iPad Air and iPad mini models. There are a number of Mac products that have been waiting for a refresh and here is my personal wish list of what Apple will unveil next week.

The Apple Beat: Great Expectations

As we near Apple’s September 9 announcement it becomes clearer that 2014 will be defined by events prior to and after Apple’s big reveal.

Each iPhone launch event is soaked in hype and a tremendous amount of interest, even from non-tech circles but this year is different. The upcoming event at Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino (where the iconic Macintosh and the iMac were first revealed) will be the setting for what many are expecting to be Apple’s largest launch event in the Tim Cook era.

Apple posts countdown page to Sept 9 event, promises live video feed

If you hop over to this page you can count down the days to Apple's event on September 9 and watch the proceeding at this special event where the new iPhone is expected to be announced. Another hint from this page is the second tagline "And so will a whole lot more" which means we should expect an abundance of announcements in terms of new products, services and features from Apple. CanadianReviewer will be covering the event live from the Flint Center in Cupertino so expect reports as the news unfolds.
